Marcel joined Context in March 2020, where he focusses on technical losses. Together with Michael Blonk, he handles technical and fire damages to machinery and installations.
After successfully concluding his bachelor studies as technical engineer, Marcel fulfilled a traineeship at the Dutch National Railways after which he became engineer at the engineering department of ACF, a pharmaceutical company. This was followed up by a career within the NEM, a company producing exhaust gas boilers for energy plants.
He was responsible for the execution of projects in various positions. In many cases, he replaced the production supervisors, but he was also involved in the execution of erection activities on location of a number of energy plants throughout the world. Finally, he focused on the outsourcing of production and erection activities at NEM for exhaust gas boilers. He followed the training NEVI 2 for these procurement responsibilities.
Starting 2004, Marcel was engaged as procurement manager for Standard Fasel, an exhaust gas boiler producer as well. Due to organizational changes, he started as independent entrepreneur in that same year.
In this capacity, Marcel was engaged since 2005 by a number of companies in various comprehensive assignments, such as outsourcing and guidance of the production of parts for smaller and larger technical installations of energy plants, (petro)chemical installations, electrical installations, civil mechanical projects and other larger and smaller engineering projects. He took care of sourcing of new suppliers, the requests for proposal, the contracts, the expediting, the logistical aspects and the servicing in the broadest sense.
He is fluent in English and German.
