Paul is a mechanical engineer who handles technical claims, including property, machinery breakdown, CAR (construction all risks) and liability claims with a technical component. He focuses in particular on rotating machinery, gearboxes, turbines and wind turbines.

Before becoming a loss adjuster, Paul worked for more than ten years at Stork Gears & Services. As a diagnostic engineer, he carried out vibration measurements and inspections on rotating machinery and gearboxes around the world and advised clients on the condition of their equipment. In his final years there, he led the diagnostics department as team coordinator. He has worked as a loss adjuster since 2018. This combination of hands-on technical knowledge and years of loss adjusting experience means that, in complex technical claims, he quickly gets to the heart of the matter: what happened, what caused it, and what is needed to settle the claim.

Paul studied mechanical engineering at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (Bachelor of Engineering). He started his career as a design engineer and moved to Stork Gears & Services in 2007, where, as a diagnostic engineer, he inspected and analysed rotating machinery all over the world. He completed specialist training in vibration analysis (Category III, Mobius Institute), balancing, alignment and turbine technology, and holds GWO certifications for the onshore and offshore wind industry. From 2016 to 2018 he was team coordinator of the diagnostics department. He has worked as a loss adjuster since 2018 and joined Context on 1 September 2026.

Paul is a keen sportsman: he enjoys snowboarding, cycling and mountain biking. He also loves motorcycling, travelling, DIY jobs in and around the house, and quality time with family and friends.
